Springpoint Names CIO, VP of Information Technology

Springpoint Senior Living has named Matthew Runyan as the company’s new vice president of information technology and chief information officer.

In his new role, Runyan will look after Springpoint’s technology needs and focus on its platforms, operational effectiveness and long-term strategy.

Runyan has more than 25 years of experience, most recently at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in New York. There, Runyan was assistant vice president and acting chief technology officer of information technology.

HRA Names Sales and Marketing VP

Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA) recently named David Dodson as its vice president of sales and marketing.

Dodson is now tasked with helping the company build its sales culture through training, planning, and execution of sales and marketing initiatives.

HRA’s new hire has more than two decades of experience in the industry, having worked as a senior vice president and a regional director of sales and marketing in Virginia, Florida and Texas.

HRA currently operates 34 communities and more under development.

Singh Hires Four at Waltonwood in North Carolina

Singh Senior Living has hired four new employees at Waltonwood Lake Boone, a senior living community that opened this summer in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The company named Samantha Toms as memory care life enrichment manager, Takisha Craven as memory care wellness coordinator, Laura Gremore as assisted living life enrichment manager and Sharon Staten as assisted living wellness coordinator.

Craven will look after the operations of the community’s memory care neighborhood, while Toms is tasked with creating programs alongside overseeing events and resident activities. On the assisted living side, Gremore will develop and execute resident programming.

And, Staten will look after residents’ health care needs as wellness coordinator.

Pennsylvania Community Names New CEO, Executive Director

Friends Home and Village, a senior living community spread across two campuses in Newtown, Pennsylvania, has named Chiyo Moriuchi as its new CEO and executive director.

Moriuchi will help lead the community as it provides affordable, small-community, independent living and personal care to residents.

Maplewood Appoints Executive Director in Ohio

Maplewood Senior Living has named Susan Krupitzer as the executive director of Maplewood at Twinsburg, a senior living community in Twinsburg, Ohio.

In the new role, Krupitzer will oversee daily operations, lead the community in planning, development, evaluation, and improvement of programs and supervise and manage staff.

Krupitzer has more than 20 years of experience in senior living and health care.

Erickson Community Names TV/AV Manager

Oak Crest, an Erickson Living CCRC in Parkville, Maryland, has promoted Stephanie Taydus to the role of community TV and AV manager.

Taydus, who began her career at the Erickson community as a community TV coordinator last year, currently serves as co-chair of the My Erickson initiative. My Erickson is an app that connects residents with community news and other information.

Herpst Promoted at Knollwood Military Retirement Community

The Army Distaff Foundation has promoted Jessica Herpst to the role of associate director of operations and technology of the Knollwood Military Retirement Community.

Herpst first joined the Army Distaff Foundation as an activities assistant in 2015, where she helped organize activities for Knollwood residents.

NHI Hires Former Analyst as New Investor Relations Director

National Health Investors (NYSE:NHI) recently hired Dana Hambly as its new director of investor relations. He replaced Colleen Schaller, who took a new role as real estate transaction manager.

In his new role, Hambly is responsible for the planning and execution of NHI’s investor relations program, including explaining financial results, corporate strategy and opportunities and risks to institutional shareholders, analysts and other stakeholders.

Hambly previously served as senior vice president and equity research analyst with Stephens.

Clearwater Names Executive Director for California Project

Clearwater Living has named Renee Hamilton as executive director of Clearwater at Sonoma Hills, a 94-unit assisted living and memory care community slated to open in Rohnert Park, California, later this year.

Hamilton previously helped lead memory care, assisted living and independent living communities throughout the state of California.

Sequoia Living Welcomes New CEO

Sara McVey is set to become the new CEO of Sequoia Living. McVey will succeed David Berg as when he retires on Sept. 30, the company announced.

McVey previously worked as CEO of the Horizon House, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Seattle. She also has worked in executive capacities for Mather Lifeways.

Oakmont Picks Executive Director for California Community

Oakmont Senior Living has named Terry Ervin as executive director of Oakmont of East Sacramento, a senior living community due to open next year in Sacramento, California.

Ervin is no stranger to Oakmont, having previously worked as executive director of Oakmont of Carmichael.

Oakmont of East Sacramento is planned to have 135 apartments with assisted living and memory care services.

Senior Living Communities Hires Two in North, South Carolina

Senior Living Communities has announced the hiring of an executive chef and in South Carolina and a director of facility services in North Carolina.

The company named Rob Jansen as executive chef at Cascades Verdae, a community in Greenville, South Carolina. Jansen has worked in dining venues throughout the area, and previously appeared on the Food Network television show “Cutthroat Kitchen.”

Senior Living Communities also appointed David Van Brunt as the new director of facility services at its The Charlotte Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Charlotte, North Carolina.

He previously honed his facility management skills at the Myers Park Presbyterian Church.

Ziegler Hires Senior Living Finance Bankers

National specialty investment bank Ziegler is welcoming Mark Landreville as a managing director and Christina Rappl as an assistant vice president.

Landreville and Rappl will work out of the firm’s Minneapolis office, and focus on solutions for the organization’s senior living clients.

Landreville has more than three decades of investment and commercial banking experience, mostly in the senior living industry. Rappl, meanwhile, has more than seven years of experience in municipal and investment banking finance.

Spellman Brady Hires Designer

Interior design firm Spellman Brady & Company has hired Laura Kreher as a designer.

Kreher will support the team with design, furniture specification, space planning and renderings in the healthcare, senior living and higher education market sectors. A recent graduate of Maryville University, Kreher previously worked as an intern for Spellman Brady.
