Bridge Senior Living grows executive team

Orlando, Florida-based Bridge Senior Living recently announced the addition of two executives and a new hire for the company’s marketing team.

Rosalyn Watson joined as senior vice president of wellness nationally and Meagan Peppers joined as vice president of sales and marketing in the Southeast. Also, Brian Solomon joins Bridge Senior Living as marketing manager.

Watson brings nearly 25 years of experience related to senior care. In her new role, Watson will develop and deliver resident wellness programs nationally for all Bridge Senior Living communities. She joins following over five years of clinical leadership with Milestone Retirement Communities, where she was most recently chief clinical and compliance officer for nearly two years and executive vice president of clinical and compliance during March to October 2020.

Watson was also senior vice president of health and wellness through Milestone’s merger with Compass Pointe Healthcare. From June 2017 to March 2020, she was chief wellness officer with Validus Senior Living. She additionally held corporate or national director roles with Compass Pointe Healthcare System, Sagora Senior Living, and various other senior living providers.

Peppers, who now oversees sales and marketing of Bridge Senior Living communities in Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee, joins the company following nearly three years as regional director of sales and marketing for Navion Senior Living. Previously she was in a similar director role with Harmony Senior Services and other related positions at organizations across the southeast.

Solomon joins Bridge Senior Living following nearly three years as marketing manager for the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, Florida. He previously held roles as marketing manager with Spectra and marketing and communications manager with The Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tennessee.

Bridge Senior Living has a collection of 34 communities across 16 states. 

SVP named for National Church Residences

Sonya Brown is Vice President of Affordable Housing Management for National Church Residences, with the longtime senior housing veteran to start on July 1.

Since 2020, Brown has served as VP of property management having led a team of four regional vice presidentsand spanning more than 340 affordable housing communities in 25 states.

She joined the organization in 2004 as a property manager and then was promoted quickly to regional manager, then regional portfolio leader and regional vice president, before progressing to her current position two years ago.

National Church Residences serves more than 42,000 seniors through its array of housing and health care services.

Arrow Senior Living adds EDs

Missouri-based Arrow Senior Living has welcomed new Executive Directors Steven Bunch, Lee Bohannon-Smith, Rhonda Nelson, Logan Harrington and Lisa Ford.

Bunch brings more than 30 years experience to his new role at The Madison Senior Living in Kansas City, Missouri. Bunch also worked in skilled nursing, residential care and memory care serving in a number of leadership roles including vice president of operations at Capital Health Management, Inc.

Bohannon-Smith has been named executive director at Cedar Trails Senior Living in Freeburg, Illinois. Before joining Arrow, Bohannon-Smith served as an administrator in both long term care and affordable assisted living communities, and her career spans more than 20 years.

Nelson was recently promoted to executive director at Fox Run Senior Living in Fairborn, Ohio. Nelson, a certified HR professional, has worked in healthcare for more than 20 years. She joined Arrow’s Fox Run community as a business office director in 2019.

Harrington is now executive director at Rock Creek Senior Living, a continuum of care community in Ankeny, Iowa. His experience includes sales and marketing expertise, environmental services, wellness and dietary management, and regional operations support. Harrington is a certified dementia practitioner, CNA, CMA and will obtain a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Purdue Global University this fall.

Ford was named executive director of Vitalia Active Adult Community at Solon in Ohio. Ford has extensive industry experience and has served more than 20 years in various positions including community relations director and regional operations director. Over her career, she’s managed communities across multiple states. Ford earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from The Ohio State University.

New executive director for Erickson ‘flagship’ community

Erickson Senior Living reports it recently hired Chandra Kumar to serve as executive director of Charlestown, the company’s flagship community in Catonsville, Maryland.

Kumar comes to Charlestown from Greenspring — another Erickson community located in Springfield, Virginia — and joined the company in 2014.

With 30 years of experience, Kumar is bolstering the company’s leadership. She is a licensed nursing home administrator, holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and gerontology from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in Management of Aging Services from the Erickson School of Aging at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Charlestown is a nonprofit continuing care retirement community on a 110-acre campus home to more than 2,000 residents and employs over 1,100 people. 

The Springs Living names ED in Oregon

Dhrasti Patel is now the executive director of The Springs at Sherwood in Sherwood, Oregon for The Springs Living.

Prior to joining The Springs Living, she was a memory care manager and then health and wellness director for Leisure Care’s The Ackerly at Sherwood. She has also worked as a charge nurse at Avamere Rehab of Lebanon in Lebanon, Oregon.

The Springs Living owns and operates 18 senior living communities in Oregon and Montana, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care services. Two additional communities are under development in Happy Valley, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington.

Erickson’s Greenspring community gets new ED

Virginia-based Erickson Living announced Melissa Robson has been promoted to executive director of Greenspring in Springfield, Virginia. 

She previously served as associate executive director at the community since 2018.

Robson, a registered nurse, has over 25 years of experience working in various health care settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Gardner-Webb University and a master’s in health administration from Pfeiffer University.

Life plan community Sagewood names fitness lead

Sagewood, a life plan community in Phoenix, Arizona, hired Joshua Bredimus as the new fitness specialist for the community.

He joins Sagewood with two decades of experience in health and wellness and earned a Bachelor of Science in exercise and wellness before working for high-end resorts as the director of spa and fitness.
