Enso Village Appoints CEO

Enso, a San Francisco-based senior living community, recently named Rosemary C. Jordan as chief executive officer.

As CEO of the newest affiliated community in the Kendal Corporation system, Jordan will oversee the completion of the older adult community and shape the vision for the campus as residents move in next year.

Jordan comes to Kendal as a seasoned health care executive, most recently serving as CEO of the Pacific Vision Foundation and executive positions with Elder Care Alliance focusing on business development and growth.

She earned a master’s degree in public health and in public policy from the University of California at Berkeley. She received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College.

Elegance Living Names New COO, Makes Multiple Hires

Elegance Living, the management arm of private equity company Capital Health Group, announced a slew of new hires and promotions to support the company’s efforts in growing its coastal California market.

The new hires and promotions included:

  • Lisa Gaudiest, Chief Operating Officer;
  • Lydel Wright, Senior Vice President of Wellness and Care
  • Kimberly Severns-Jones, Senior Vice President of Quality Assurance and Risk Management
  • Kathleen Habick, Vice President of People
  • Melisa Jones-Knight, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
  • Donald Spatulo, National Director of Culinary Experience
  • Melanie Perry, National Director of Resident Engagement
  • Kaitlin Cavinder, Senior Director of Business Analysis

In June, Elegance Living will open Elegance Berkeley, a fully entitled 96 unit Assisted Living and Memory Support development in Berkeley, California. This follows the opening of Elegance Hamilton Hill in Novato, California

The company manages a range of senior living properties, from independent, assisted living and memory care in value-driven suburban markets to high-end luxury communities in urban markets.

Atria Hires VP of Care

Atria Senior Living announced Stephanie Haley-Andrews was hired as Vice President of care bringing more than 20 years of management experience to senior living as a registered nurse.

Haley-Andrews developed, led and scaled nursing plans across multiple organizations to drive quality care.

Westmont Living Promotes VP

Diane “Dee” Navarro was promoted to Vice President of Operations at Westmont Living, a La Jolla, California-based senior living provider.

Navarro was hired in 2018 as regional director of operations and since 2020, helped navigate communities through the pandemic. She started in senior living in 1992 in a skilled nursing facility in California.

Prior to coming to Westmont, Navarro worked at MBK Senior Living.

Westmont operates 18 communities in California and Oregon.

Life Plan Community Promotes Three

Fort Myers, Florida life plan community Cypress Cove promoted three members of its culinary department management team in its latest personnel actions.

Paul Daniel was named Director of Culinary Services; Suzanne Plazewski was named Assistant Director of Culinary Services; and Amy Sayeh was given the title of Senior Culinary Operations Manager.

This culinary leadership team is responsible for management of day-to-day dining and catering operations throughout the Cypress Cove campus.

Bridge Senior Living Makes Key Hire, Promotion

Orlando, Florida-based Bridge Senior Living announced an executive promotion and an executive role change recently as Katharine Anderson was promoted to Vice President of marketing and digital strategy and Karen Ingram moved to Vice President of sales support and customer experience.

In the newly created position, Ingram will build and introduce a new first impression initiative to engage potential residents and their families during their initial visit to a Bridge Senior Living community.

Ingram joined Bridge Senior Living’s executive team in May 2021 as senior executive director and operations/sales specialist, most recently serving as a regional vice president of sales and marketing. She previously was part of the community leadership teams at Summer Village in Auburn, Alabama, and director of sales and marketing with Somerby St. Vincent’s One Nineteen in Birmingham, Alabama.

Ingram earned a bachelor’s degree in health services administration from Auburn University, a Nursing Home Administrator license and a Category II Assisted Living Administrator license.

Anderson joined Bridge Senior Living in early 2021 as digital marketing and communications director following her work as a luxury account manager for Marriott International locations in Florida. Anderson was a marketing specialist at Jupiter Medical Center & Hospital in Jupiter, Florida. She also worked with Florida-based PGA National Resort & Spa and Wyndham Hotel Group.

Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and advertising from Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers and a Hospitality and Tourism Management Certification from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

Bridge Senior Living operates 34 communities across 16 states.

New Director Named for Illinois Community

Anthem Memory Care announced Kelley Tighe as community relations director of Porter Place, a memory care community in Tinley Park, Illinois.

In this role, Tighe will be responsible for managing community outreach and marketing. She previously served as senior executive director for Rock Run Place assisted living and memory care in Joliet, Illinois. She also previously worked as a nursing home administrator with Bria of Palos Hills in Palos Hills, Illinois.

Tighe earned an associate degree in culinary arts and a Bachelor of Science in food service management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management in Tinley Park.

Anthem, based in Lake Oswego, Ore., operates and develops memory care communities in nine states.

Lutheran Village ED Named To Maryland Department of Health Board

Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant executive director Michelle Rosenheim was recently sworn in for a second, four year term as a board member on the Maryland Department of Health Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administration.

She was first appointed in 2018.

Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant is a nonprofit life plan community in Ellicott City, Maryland serving over 350 residents.

Virginia Community Welcomes Clinical Director

Retirement Unlimited, Inc. promoted Caroline Ottorviani, LPN, to Regional Director of Clinical Services for communities located in Virginia.

Ottorviani joined Retirement Unlimited in 2019 as director of clinical services, and has a background in health care of 15 years with 10 as a licensed practical nurse (LPN).

Luxury Community Welcomes New Executive Team

Senior Lifestyle’s Addington Place of Alpharetta in Georgia recently hired five new director-level employees.

Hires recently made by Senior Lifestyle:

  • Latoya Jones, executive director
  • Audra Jackson, director of sales and marketing
  • Vernell Denson, memory care director
  • Spencer White, maintenance director
  • Michael Echols, executive chef

Senior Lifestyle has a portfolio of 134 communities located across 24 states.

Springpoint Hires New Director, Makes Promotion

New Jersey-based senior living provider Springpoint announced Roy Woods, Jr. as director of communications.

Woods has over 15 years of communications experience, most recently as Senior Communications Technician with the Office of Information Technology for the State of New Jersey, where he launched and managed strategic communication plans encompassing all aspects of internal and external messaging, marketing initiatives, digital asset production, and media usage in public relations, marketing, and branding campaigns.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Thomas Edison State University, and a Master of Communications and Media from Rutgers University.

Springpoint also promoted Odessa Sadsad to vice president of health services. Sadsad began her career with Springpoint in 2009 at Springpoint’s Life Plan Community, Crestwood Manor as a Nursing Unit Manager and became the Director of Nursing in 2013. Odessa was promoted to Regional Nurse Consultant in 2017.

Sadsad received her RN, BSN from Western Mindanao State University in the Philippines. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and holds an Infection Preventionist Certification. She is currently in the process of obtaining a Master of Healthcare Administration from Walden University.

Springpoint has a portfolio of eight continuing care retirement communities and 19 affordable housing communities.

New York Community Promotes Staff to Executive Director

Ashley Wade was promoted to executive director of Broadview Senior Living at Purchase College, a new LCS community preparing to open to the Purchase College, SUNY campus.

Wade will oversee and manage all operations at Broadview. Wade has served as Marketing Director for Broadview for three and a half years.

Broadview will comprise 220 living apartments and villas for seniors ages 62 and older, as well as offer assisted living apartments and memory care suites on-site. Broadview is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in Summer 2023
