English Meadows Appoints Williams as CFO

English Meadows Senior Living has hired Rob Williams as its new chief financial officer and executive committee member.

Williams has worked in a variety of industries, and spent two decades in financial management and leadership roles at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Deloitte Consulting. He also in his earlier years worked as a caregiver at multiple communities owned and operated by his father, Robert Williams, in Roanoke, Virginia.

American House Hires Chief Human Resources Officer

Mary Anderson is now chief human resources officer of American House Senior Living Communities and its affiliated companies, REDICO and Continuum Services.

As chief human resources officer, she is tasked with creating and implementing HR strategies, policies and programs for American House’s more than 50 communities in five states.

Anderson has more than 32 years of experience in human resources and organization development. Previously, Anderson worked as the executive human resources director of global markets and mobility at Ford Motor Company. She has also in past assignments worked with companies including General Electric and General Motors.

Ouellette Returns to Standard Companies as Chief Strategy Officer

Joe Ouellette, who worked as Standard Companies’ first regional partner between 2015 and 2019, has returned to the company as chief strategy officer.

In his new position, he is responsible for Standard’s growth and performance. He previously was president and founder of Greenhouse Advisory.

Overall, Ouellette has two decades of executive experience in the affordable and workforce housing industry. That includes in capital markets, asset management, acquisitions and ownership.

Leisure Care Announces Corporate Office Promotions

Leisure Care has promoted three employees in its corporate office.

The company named Bre Grubbs as partner and executive vice president of revenue strategies. In her new role, she is responsible for sales, marketing and new business. Grubbs previously worked as partner and vice president of new business, and first worked with Leisure Care as a marketing intern in 2001.

Leisure Care also promoted Madisen Kovell director of new business. Kovell, previously manager of new business, is moving into the position vacated by Grubbs, and will lead development and acquisition opportunities for the company. She started at Leisure Care as a market research analyst in 2013.

Additionally, Leisure Care named Candace Ortega to the role of health services manager. Ortega, previously health and wellness corporate trainer, will support the company’s communities through health services. She has worked with Leisure Care for the past seven years.

Morning Pointe Names VP of Information Technology, Regional VP of Operations

Doru Mihaescu is now vice president of information technology for Morning Pointe Senior Living. The company also named Gerald “Gerry” Jackson as its regional vice president for operations in Kentucky and Indiana.

As VP of information technology, Mihaescu will oversee cybersecurity, technical support, and software development. He previously worked at Southern Adventist University, and has also worked as a registered nurse.

Morning Pointe also named Jackson vice president of operations for its “bluegrass region,” which covers 12 senior living and memory care communities in Kentucky and Indiana.

Jackson comes to Morning Pointe from Solstice Senior Living, and has worked in senior living and health care for more than three decades.

Discovery Taps Healthpeak Alum to Lead Morada Brand

Discovery Senior Living has tapped Hilary Bullard to be president of its new Morada Senior Living brand. She previously was vice president, senior housing asset management for real estate investment trust Healthpeak (NYSE: PEAK).

Dele Health Tech Names Chief Commercial Officer, VP of Gerontology

Norwegian fall-detection tech company Dele Health Tech has named Delaine Blazek as its chief commercial officer and Dr. Lydia Manning as its vice president of gerontology.

In the newly created role of chief commercial officer, Blazek will focus on the company’s commercial organization, which spans sales, marketing and customer experience. She previously worked in product innovation, sales transformation, marketing and customer experience at multiple senior living technology organizations.

As vice president of gerontology, Manning will help oversee clinical functions in gerontology, technology and age-friendliness. She previously worked as professor of gerontology at Concordia University Chicago.

Maplewood Bolsters Leadership at New Jersey Community Ahead of Opening

Maplewood Senior Living has hired an executive director, director of business development and community relations director for its forthcoming Maplewood at Princeton community set to open this summer in Princeton, New Jersey.

The community’s executive director is Lisa Williams. As executive director, she is tasked with overseeing the community’s day-to-day operations. She has more than 20 years of senior living care experience, with 16 of years spent as an administrator.

As director of business development, Michael Tucker is responsible for the community’s strategic partnerships. His previous experience includes health care relationship-building along with sales and marketing roles for pharmaceutical companies.

Leslie Conover, Maplewood at Princeton’s new community relations director, will act as a community resource for senior living prospects. She has more than 25 years of sales experience in hospitality and senior living overall.

ISL Announces New Hires for California Community Opening This Spring

Integral Senior Living (ISL) has appointed six people to work in various roles throughout its La Marea Senior Living community, which is slated to open in Carlsbad, California, in the spring.

The company appointed:

  • Anthony Bawalan to resident care director
  • Solana Sloat to Vibrant Life director
  • Natasha Avedisian to culinary service director
  • Sebastian Diaz to building services director
  • Sylvia Spears to business office director

Frontier Names Executive Director for Georgia Community

Frontier Management hired Drew Williams to work as executive director of Heartis Suwanee, a Caddis senior living community managed by the operator in Suwanee Georgia.

Williams previously led communities in Atlanta and Phoenix. Mike Durre, managing director of Joseph David International, recruited him for the role.

Anthem Community Appoints Executive Director

Anthem Memory Care’s Morningside Place memory care community in Orland Park, Kansas, has named Dave Norton as executive director.

In his new role, Norton will oversee all care, operations and programming. Overall, he has two decades of managerial experience in the medical equipment and diagnostics fields.

New York Community Welcomes Executive Director

Richard Finn is the new executive director at Cloverwood Senior Living, a Friendly Senior Living community in Pittsford, New York.

Finn has more than 35 years of leadership experience in hospitality and senior living, and he was trained by the Walt Disney Company in operations management and customer service.

Epoch Community Hires Senior Advisor

Catherine Kent is now senior advisor at Bridges by Epoch at Westwood, a memory care and assisted living community in Westwood, Massachusetts.

As senior advisor, Kent is tasked with guiding, educating and assisting senior living prospects in choosing a community along with building relationships with senior services professionals.

Erickson Community in New Jersey Names Sales Director

Lantern Hill, an Erickson Living-managed community in New Providence, New Jersey, in February welcomed Brian Cassidy as Director of Sales.

He brings more than eight years of sales experience, and had originally worked Erickson Living as a freshman in high school.
