Eskaton promotes new president with focus on growth

Eskaton, a Sacramento, California-based senior living provider announced it recently promoted Sheri Peifer to the role of president as part of a board-led chief executive officer succession plan, according to a news release provided by the company.

Peifer will take over for outgoing CEO Todd Murch, and she will oversee operations and strategic growth to meet increasing senior living demand.

“Sheri brings a strong set of skills in strategic planning and innovation, operational excellence and partnership development as Eskaton continues to expand and meet the needs of older adults across the region,” Murch said in the news release.

Peifer joined the company in 2005 and formerly served as Eskaton’s chief strategy officer, leading company efforts in various areas from development to joint ventures and partnerships, and more. She helped lead Eskaton’s expansions of services across California’s Bay area and Central Valley through affiliations with nonprofit senior living providers.

She also led the effort expanding the company’s home and community-based services across the region.

As president, Peifer will focus on “integrating and strengthening Eskaton’s communities and services, including investing in support for Eskaton’s dedicated workforce,” the release notes.

With the aging population only to grow in the coming years, Eskaton will lead the company’s growth efforts to meet that demand. Her vision includes positioning Eskaton as a single-point solution for older adults seeking senior living.

“Our future imperative will focus on understanding and delivering new customer experiences, services and ways to age well within a community. We anticipate partners will continue to be an ever-important part of our growth as we prioritize the well-being of older Californians,” she said in the news release.

She also serves as vice chair of the LeadingAge California board of directors and chairs its planning committee.

Abe’s Garden Community elects CEO, promotes COO

Nonprofit senior living operator Abe’s Garden Community, based in Nashville, Tennessee, recently named Susannah Dwyer as chief executive officer and Chris Coelho was promoted to chief operating officer.

Dwyer brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in senior living, home health, outpatient rehabilitation, and private duty care. She previously served as senior vice president of operations, home health and private duty at Choice Health at Home. Additionally, she was also on the Brookdale Healthcare Services leadership team for 13 years with a primary focus on home health services and operations. 

Coelho joined Abe’s Garden Community in 2015 and was appointed COO after serving as interim executive director since June 2021. He is now the company’s first COO and will lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and evaluate research opportunities for the company. 

WesleyLife promotes interim director to lead Iowa community

The Village, a Wesleylife community, in Indianola, Iowa recently named a longtime interim director of the community executive director.

Heather Frank started with WesleyLife in 2009 and was named interim director for The Village last year before the recent promotion to executive director.

She will continue to be based in Indianola, a company news release said, where she has helped grow the campus and elevate the community’s visibility in the greater Des Moines area.

Senior Lifestyle adds asset management VP

Senior Lifestyle Corporation recently named Peter Kravaritis as vice president of asset management.

Kravaritis will focus on managing the company’s largest investor relationships to assist the entire asset management team to continue with asset acquisition.

He previously served as director of asset management and helped grow the company in the last five years. As part of the growth, he assisted with the investor relationships with three assets that now stand at 20 communities and helped sales advocacy that acquired 11 new assets earlier this year.

Broadview at Purchase College promotes marketing lead

Broadview at Purchase College, a senior living community in Rye Brook, New York, announced the promotion of Amy Post to serve as marketing director.

The university-based retirement community is currently under construction and has secured deposits on 92% of the 220 apartment and villa residences.

Post will manage sales and marketing teams while conducting public-facing campaigns and secure final deposits to boost occupancy prior to opening.

She previously worked as residency councilor, and she helped secure over one-third of the reserved residences at Broadview, which is expected to open next summer.

Before Broadview, she worked for The Knolls in Valhalla, New York, as both the cultural arts activities director and later as a residency counselor.

BOK Financial promotes senior housing lead

BOK Financial announced Taylor Russ was recently promoted to the role of managing director of the company’s National Senior Housing Group.

Russ has worked with BOK since 2007 and worked in special asset management.

BOK Financial established its NSHG in 2012 and provides construction and acquisition financing for private-pay IL, AL and memory care communities across the country.

Greystone Monticello, LLC appoints SVP

Greystone Monticello, LLC recently appointed Karina Davydov as senior vice president.

Davydov brings two decades of healthcare lending and banking experience. She will help grow the company’s working capital and asset-based lending offerings.

Greystone Monticello is a joint venture formed in 2021 between Greystone and MONICELLOAM to provide bridge financing to healthcare and multifamily investors.

Cinnaire adds president

Affordable housing nonprofit lender Cinnaire Lending recently announced Sarah Greenberg as president of Cinnaire Lending.

She brings nearly two decades of experience and previously served as the company’s senior vice president of affordable housing and lending. She will oversee affordable housing and community development debt financing while managing various roles tied to origination, underwriting and closing of loans.

Greenberg previously held leadership positions at NeighborWorks America, Forward Community Investments, the Northwest Side Community Development Corporation, and High Impact Financial Analysis.

Sonata Senior Living taps sales VP

Orlando, Florida-based Sonata Senior Living announced the appointment of Stephanie Braudrick to the role of vice president of sales, as she brings over 20 years of experience to the position.

She will help drive occupancy performance across the Sonata portfolio, bringing expertise in sales management and revenue transformation with her.

Before joining Sonata, Braudrick held multi-site leadership roles with top national providers Holiday Retirement, Elmcroft Senior Living, and Emeritus Senior Living. She has also held leadership roles with technology leaders A Place for Mom and Caring.com.

Lutheran Senior Services names chief experience officer

Beth Rusert will now serve as Lutheran Senior Services’ first chief experience officer.

She will act as a champion of creating culture while providing strategic leadership for various departments including human resources, marketing and community outreach, among other areas.

Most recently she served as vice president, chief marketing and ministry engagement officer for Concordia Plans, an employee benefits and business solutions provider for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Cypress Cove hires community advancement officer

Cypress Cove, a nonprofit life plan community in South Fort Myers, Florida, recently hired Melody Desilets as its new community advancement officer.

She will work closely with Cypress Cove employees to plan and execute future growth and planned fundraising programming. She will also manage the Cypress Cove Employee & Dependent Scholarship Program with the resident-led scholarship committee.

She most recently served as Senior Director of Development at Lee Health Foundation. Prior to that, she worked in several roles at Shell Point Retirement Community.
