Watermark Names Managing Director for Strategic Growth
Watermark Retirement Communities has chosen Andrea Ellen as its new managing director of new project development.
Ellen will now oversee operations and branding for communities the senior living company is developing and building across the U.S.
Before coming to Watermark, she was vice president of marketing and communications for Maplewood Senior Living and chief branding officer for its Inspir brand.
Senior Lifestyle Names VP of Sales
Senior Lifestyle has promoted Janine Witte to the role of vice president of sales.
Witte, who joined Senior Lifestyle in 2016 as the national director of sales, will in her new role build on the company’s strategic initiatives to drive up revenue and occupancy rates.
Senior Lifestyle has a portfolio of more than 180 communities in 28 states.
Oakmont Senior Living Hires Operations VP
Mark Maclaine has joined Oakmont Senior Living to work as the company’s new vice president of operations.
Maclaine most recently was development manager at Belmont Village, a job that tasked him with opening several new communities over the past four years. At Oakmont, he will help the company open several new communities this year and next.
Erickson Living CCRC Welcomes Executive Director
Craig Karczmer is the new executive director of Lantern Hill, an Erickson Living developed and managed continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in New Providence, New Jersey.
Karczmer is tasked with overseeing project development, operations and leadership at the community. Karczmer first joined Erickson Living in 2014, and most recently worked as the executive director at Ashby Ponds, an Erickson Living community in Ashburn, Virginia.
Florida Community Announces Leadership Team
Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast, a senior living community that recently opened in Palm Coast, Florida, has named Jennifer Rogers as health and wellness director and April Weems as community relations director.
Rogers has experience as a care manager and assembling teams of caregivers for independent and assisted living communities, while Weems has brings senior living experience and has spent time in event planning and marketing roles for not-for-profit organizations such as Susan G. Komen, Partners in Education and Meals on Wheels.
Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast began accepting residents in December and will host an official grand opening celebration on Feb. 21.
Lancaster Pollard Hires Managing Director for OREC
Lancaster Pollard has hired Laca Wong-Hammond to work as a managing director with its affiliate OREC Securities, which provides merger and acquisition services.
In her new role, Wong-Hammond will help lead business development efforts for the OREC’s sell-side and buy-side advisory services to owners and operators of senior housing and care properties, among other types.
Previously, she was a managing director in the corporate finance M&A practice at Duff & Phelps.
