Buckner Retirement Services Names New President, COO

Buckner Retirement Services has named Charlie Wilson as the company’s president, and Brian Robbins as COO.

Albert Reyes, who is the president and CEO of Buckner’s parent organization, Buckner International, is retaining his CEO role for the retirement division. The senior living nonprofit also named Chuck Childress as director of operations; Phil Elmore as director of development; Mary Jackson and Kelly Stephens as senior directors of human resources; and Abraham Mathew as senior executive director at Buckner Parkway Place in Houston.

Wilson, who assumed the president role immediately, started at Buckner 21 years ago as director of quality improvement and regulatory compliance.

Atlas Promotes Brinegar to VP of Design and Construction

Atlas Senior Living has promoted Carol Brinegar to the role of vice president of design and construction for Atlas Senior Living.

In her new role, Brinegar is tasked with “enhancing the quality of complete construction projects,” the company noted. She previously worked as senior operations director of New construction and before that worked as executive director of Atlas’ Legacy Reserve Fritz Farm community in Lexington, Kentucky.

Cadence Living Hires Regional VP of Operations

Cadence Living has hired Tommy Wood as vice president of operations for the company’s Northwest and Texas regions.

In his new role, Wood will have principal responsibility over communities in Washington, Oregon, Northern California, and Texas. He has 32 years of health care experience, and previously worked as vice president of operations for Meridian Senior Living.

Watercrest Appoints Executive Director for Florida Community

Watercrest Senior Living Group promoted Michelle Miller to the role of executive director of Pelican Landing, an assisted living and memory care community in Sebastian, Florida. She takes over for former executive director Kim Sviben, who is now an area director of operations at Watercrest.

Miller joined Watercrest in 2019 as assistant executive director Watercrest St. Lucie West, a community in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She brings 22 years of nursing experience to her role overall.

Retirement Unlimited Names Executive Director for Virginia Community

Retirement Unlimited has promoted Chris Cook to the role of executive director of Bay Lake, a senior living community in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Cook joined Retirement Unlimited in 2019, and has worked as business office and HR manager for two of the company’s communities in Virginia.

Epoch Names VP of Operations for Massachusetts Community

Kristine Tilton is now vice president of operations for Epoch Senior Living’s Waterstone Senior Living brand.

In her new role, Tilton oversees all of Epoch’s current and future Waterstone communities.

New Hampshire Community Welcomes New Sales and Marketing Director

Bowman Place, a newly opened non-profit senior living community in Bedford, New Hampshire, has hired Jeanna Rodriguez as director of sales and marketing.

In her new role, Rodriguez is responsible for helping families during their introduction to the community, and for educating prospective residents and their families about the community and product type.

Rodriguez worked in senior living sales and marketing for five years before joining Bowman Place.

CBRE Adds Sweeney to Senior Housing Capital Markets Team

CBRE has named John Sweeny as a senior vice president on its senior housing capital markets team.

Sweeny comes to the role with more than 15 years of experience in real estate investing and investment banking in the senior housing and care sector. In his new role, he will focus on national investment sales and partner with Aron Will, a vice chairman of senior housing with a focus debt and structured Finance.

Ryan Companies Bolsters Senior Living Team

Ryan Companies has hired Patrick Dimaano as vice president senior living development for its western division, which includes the Southwest, West and Northwest regions.

In his new role, he will look for development opportunities, maintain relationships with partners and support project stakeholders. He most recently worked as vice president of acquisitions of senior living for Waterton in Chicago.

United Church Homes Names Director of Housing Operations

United Church Homes has named Chadwick Johnson as director of housing operations.

In his new role, Johnson will manage daily operations for more than 60 affordable housing communities in 14 states. He has more than 20 years of property management experience overall.
