Thrive Senior Living Promotes Moberg to COO
Thrive Senior Living has appointed Nicole Moberg to the role of chief operating officer.
Moberg, who started her new role in July, is tasked with leading the day-to-day operations for Thrive’s senior living communities. Moberg joined Thrive Senior Living as chief sales officer early in 2018.
Before coming aboard at Thrive, Moberg worked as chief sales officer and led the national sales team at Millennium Health. She also spent roughly a decade teaching classes at the University of Central Florida (UCF).
Heritage Names VP of Sales and Marketing
Heritage Senior Living has named Kate Brunner to the role of vice president of sales and marketing.
Brunner will now lead the company’s community sales directors and oversee marketing operations for Heritage’s 15 communities in Wisconsin.
Brunner has 25 years’ worth of experience in the health care field, and nearly 20 years’ worth of experience in the senior living industry. Before joining Heritage, Brunner worked as a regional director of sales and marketing at Five Star Senior Living (NYSE: FVE) and as a vice president of marketing and business development at Atrium Health & Senior Living.
HRA Promotes Two to Divisional VP Roles
Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA) has named two former regional directors of operations, Lori Vandekerckhove and Jim Kobrick, to the role of divisional vice president.
Vandekerckhove has worn many hats at HRA over the years, from consultant and executive director and to her most recent role of regional director of operations. Kobrick, meanwhile, has worked throughout the senior living care continuum over a 30-year career in the industry.
Florida Community Legacy Pointe Names Executive Director
Legacy Pointe at UCF, a CCRC under construction near the main campus of University of Central Florida in Orlando, has named Josh Smith as its new executive director.
Smith will lead the community, which is expected to open in the summer of 2021. Legacy Pointe at UCF is managed by Greystone, and residents have access to several perks from the nearby college.
Oakmont Names Executive Director for California Community
Oakmont Senior Living has named Heidi Setty as executive director and Miya Prosser as health services director of Oakmont of Fresno in Fresno, California.
Before joining Oakmont, worked as an administrator for more than two decades. Prosser, meanwhile, spent time as a CNA before becoming a licensed vocational nurse (LVN).
Oakmont also on Monday named a new CFO.
Maryland Provider Announces Two New Directors
Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland (LSMMD) has named Mary Ann Costin as director of communications and public relations and Cyndi Goodman as director of talent acquisition, a newly established position. LSMMD manages operations of two CCRCs in Westminster and Ellicott City, Maryland.
As director of communications and PR, Costin oversees communications strategy and brand management plan for both of LSMMD’s communities as well as the organization itself. She previously worked as director of marketing for Salisbury Management.
Goodman’s chief responsibility, meanwhile, is attracting and retaining team members for the organization. Previously, she worked as a talent acquisition manager for Brightkey.
Ingleside Adds New Director of Clinical Operations Role
Ingleside has named Kenya Jeanlouis as director of clinical operations.
In the newly created role, Jeanlouis is set to oversee clinical standards and manage regulatory compliance, among other duties. Jeanlouis will also aid the Washington, D.C. non-profit provider as it seeks to foster positive relationships within its communities.
Jeanlouis has nearly 15 years of experience working with older adults in positions that include registered clinical nurse and multiple nursing leadership roles. Before joining Ingleside, Jeanlouis worked as a quality assurance consultant for HCR Manor.
Additionally, Ingleside Executive Director Michelle Kraus was selected to join the LeadingAge Maryland board of directors. She oversees daily operations at Ingleside at King Farm in the D.C. suburb of Rockville, Maryland.
Executive Director Joins Kisco Community in California
Patricia Gustin this year joined Emerald Court, a Kisco Senior Living community in Anaheim, California.
Gustin previously worked as HR director for a community in Fresno, California. Kisco trained Gustin for an executive director role, and when Kisco sold the community, she stayed to see the transition through. Her start date was April 13.
West Bay Names Executive Director at Illinois Community
West Bay Senior Living appointed Tom Whitaker to work as the new executive director at The Carrington at Lincolnwood. He succeeds West Bay CEO Jim Biggs, who worked as the community’s executive director during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Whitaker previously worked as the community’s director of financial services.
Veritas Senior Living Appoints Sales Director at Missouri Community
Veritas Senior Living has named Mike Enloe to the role of sales director at Autumn Ridge Residences, a community it manages in Herculaneum, Missouri.
Enloe joins Autumn Ridge with more than 20 years of health care sales experience, and he previously worked as marketing director for a 164-bed retirement community.
Cypress Living Names Medical Director at Florida CCRC
Cypress Cove, a Cypress Living continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Fort Myers, Florida, is due to welcome Bob Rahmanian as its medical director.
Rahmanian, whose start date is Sept. 1, is tasked with assisting the coordination of medical care across the community’s care continuum.
Cypress Living also added Michelle Tompkins to its Cypress at Home team of home and community-based care managers. Tompkins brings to the team more than 20 years of experience in the fields of health and fitness. She previously worked as a wellness manager at a CCRC in Southwestern Florida.
Singh Community in North Carolina Names Marketing Manager
Waltonwood Lake Boone, a Singh Senior Living community in Raleigh, North Carolina, has named Chelsea Gray as its new marketing manager.
Gray has more than six years of experience in the senior living industry. She previously worked at one of Waltonwood Lake Boone’s sister communities, Waltonwood Cary Parkway.
LCS Names Sales and Marketing Director for Minnesota Community
Trillium Woods, a life plan community in Plymouth, Minnesota, has welcomed Linda Stanton as director of sales and marketing.
Stanton previously worked as vice president of business development for Align. She first joined the senior living industry in 2009 as community relations director at New Perspective Senior Living.
Kong Capital LLC Hires Operations VP
Kong Capital has hired Cory Wolfenbarger as its new vice president of operations.
In his new role, Wolfenbarger will manage the performance of the company’s portfolio of assets, which includes senior living, while seeking opportunities for new strategic investments.
Before joining Kong Capital, Wolfenbarger worked as senior vice president of operations for The Wolff Resident Experience Company.
Ohio Living Appoints Two New Board Members
Senior living nonprofit Ohio Living added James P. Joyce and Bob Parker to its board of directors.
Joyce was the President, CEO and most recently chairman of H.R. Gray before he retired in 2019. Parker is the former executive director of the Shelby County United Way, and he is currently the chair of the board for Ohio Living’s wholly owned subsidiary, the Ohio Living Foundation.
