Galerie Living nets approval for Maryland community

Galerie Living in partnership with Community Three of Washington DC recently won approval from a local planning board that makes way for a future senior living community at the National 4-H Center.

The community, known as Corso Chevy Chase will be located in Chevy Chase, Maryland and include 287 IL units, 190 AL units and 30 memory care beds along with a 5,000 square-foot shopping, dining and other retail space that will be open to the public. Construction is expected to be completed in 2026, with the first construction activity to take place later this fall.

The new community will be part of Galerie Living’s luxury Corso brand.

LifeSpire of Virginia plans $18M expansion

The Glebe Senior Living Community in Daleville, Virginia will undergo an $18 million renovation as part of an expansion project. The community is one of five owned and operated by LifeSpire of Virginia.

The expansion includes new IL homes and upgraded amenities offerings. The addition includes 22 IL cottage units, a recently-popular design type amid tough development conditions. Cottage units at the expansion will range between 1,520 and 2,525 square-feet nestled on the community’s campus.

Construction will start later this year with a targeted completion in 2025. As part of the project, culinary stations will also be transformed with updated dining amenities including a cooking line, fire deck pizza oven, salad bar and grab-and-go foods.

Legacy Senior Communities to expand community

The Legacy Willow Bend, the flagship community of nonprofit senior living provider The Legacy Senior Communities, will add 30 mid-size IL units to meet demand in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The expansion will include new luxury apartments and villas, along with 10 luxury flats with design by HKS Architects and Design. The expansion features low-density, condominium-style buildings, according to a press release announcing the addition.

Wait list sales will begin later this month and construction is expected to start in the first quarter of 2025.

Cornerstone at Branchburg fully leased

The sustainably designed, affordable housing apartments in Branchburg, New Jersey are now fully leased, a news release said.

The 55+ community is owned by Walters and was first completed in the early part of last year. The community includes 150 residences situated on 12 acres. Units range between 700 and 900 square-feet with high-end design.

The community was recently recognized with eight industry awards, including Community of the Year from Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey.

Shared amenities include a fitness center, computer workstations, pool table and an outdoor area with a grill.

Evergreen Real Estate Group finishes affordable project

Evergreen completes renovation of vacant Walgreens

Evergreen Real Estate Group recently completed Bellwood Senior Apartments in a suburban Chicago market.

The 80-unit community replaced a vacant Walgreens in Bellwood, Illinois.

LCS community opens

The Delaney at The Vale is now open, according to a news release from LCS.

The 62-and-up community is located in Woburn, Massachusetts and includes three connected buildings with 103 apartments and 36 memory care apartments.

The community first welcomed residents earlier this week. Amenities include concierge, gourmet meal service at multiple dining venues, fitness center, wellness center, two salons, craft studio, theater and underground parking. The community also has retail and office space.
