“By 2026 or 2027, virtually every memory care unit in the country will be full,” Pegasus Senior Living CEO Chris Hollister said during the Senior Housing News BRAIN conference last week in Washington, D.C.

That might be true, but getting through the next few years will not be easy. From residents that require a lot of care and strict staffing requirements to skyrocketing insurance premiums and other expenses, being a memory care operator in 2023 is not for the faint of heart.
