ProMedica Names Brandt to Chief Admin Role, Appoints New Senior Care President

ProMedica recently promoted a trio of company leaders to help guide the company forward., including a new president for its senior care division.

The Toledo, Ohio-based company promoted Angela Brandt, previously president of ProMedica Senior Care, to the role of chief administrative officer Backfilling her newly vacated role is Justin Skiver, who was previously the division’s chief financial officer and chief strategy officer. The company also named Luke Pile as the division’s new COO.

Pile hails from the ProMedica Skilled Nursing division and brings over a decade of health care experience to his new role.

Brandt and Skiver will report to ProMedica CEO and President Arturo Polizzi and Pile will report to Skiver, with Polizzi adding that the trio will bring “valuable insight and guidance” as the company builds toward “greater stability and sustainability.”

Brandt as part of her health system-wide promotion will oversee information technology, supply chain; strategy; marketing; external affairs, including government relations, foundations and social determinants of health; and process improvement. She will additionally lead the operations and services council.

In February the company sold its Heartland hospice and home care service line to hospice giant Gentiva for $710 million. ProMedica still operates about 60 Arden Courts memory care communities in a joint venture with Welltower (NYSE: WELL). 

That sale came just after 147 SNFs were transitioned by Welltower from ProMedica to Integra Health, and ProMedica had previously reported $105 million in operating losses by its senior care division for 2Q22.

Company executives could not immediately be reached for comment as of Friday afternoon.
