Watercrest Bolsters Memory Care Programming With Promotion

Watercrest Senior Living Group has promoted Sheena Jeffries to work in the newly created role of engagement specialist.

Jeffries first joined Watercrest in 2016 as a community memory care director. In her new role, she will provide support, training and help implement the company’s new memory care programming initiatives, Illuminate and Live Exhilarated.

Watercrest is embarking on a growth plan and is poised to add 12 new communities to its portfolio in the next few years.

Acts Announces New Regional Vice President, Personnel Shifts

Acts Retirement-Life Communities recently named Stephen La Pierre to the role of vice president of its Chesapeake region. Most recently, La Pierre worked as the executive director of The Evergreens, an Acts affiliate in Moorestown, New Jersey.

The organization also made the following personnel announcements:

  • Terri A. White, who works as vice president of Acts’ Mid-Atlantic Region, was named to a two- year term on the board of LeadingAge New Jersey.
  • Jeremy Neely, vice president of Acts’ Northeast Region, was named board Chair of LeadingAge Pennsylvania.
  • Acts named Brian Levesque as executive director of The Evergreens, an affiliate community in Moorestown, New Jersey.
  • Donna Thompson is now the executive director of Gwynedd Estates, a senior living community in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
  • Elmer Heiland was appointed executive director of Spring House Estates in Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania.

Senior Living Communities Announces Promotions, New Hire

Senior Living Communities has promoted two of its employees and hired a new one.

The company made two promotions at its Lakes at Litchfield community in Pawleys Island, South Carolina: Lena Oncken was promoted to the role of social director, and Nick Varone was promoted to director of facility services. Oncken first joined the company in 2018 as an activity director in care services, while Varone has worked for the company since 2015.

Senior Living Communities also hired Vickie Fowler as a lifestyle advisor at Summit Hills, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Arizona Life Plan Community Appoints Health Center Administrator

Sagewood, a life plan community in Phoenix, Arizona, has named Natalie Miko administrator of its Acacia Health Center.

Miko was most recently an interim administrator for Newcastle Place in Mequon, Wisconsin. Overall, she has 15 years of experience in executive level senior living services and healthcare administration.

Greystone Names Managing Director for Senior Housing Lending Team

Matt Miller has joined Greystone as a managing director on the company’s senior housing finance team.

Miller previously worked as an executive vice president with Texas Capital Bank, where he helped grow the company’s senior housing lending initiative.

Merlino Design Partnership Names New Partner

Merlino Design Partnership, a design firm that specializes in creating environments for older adults, has named Kimberly Hyduke as a partner in the company.

Hyduke has more than 20 years of interior design experience, with a portfolio of work that includes accolade-winning senior living projects.

THW Design Hires Marketing Manager

Claudia Farnsworth recently joined senior living design firm THW Design as its new marketing manager.

Farnsworth previously worked as a marketing director for Fitzgerald Collaborative Group.
