LCS promotes EVP of operations

The nation’s third largest senior living operator, LCS, recently announced the promotion of GeLynna Shaw to the role of executive vice president of operations and senior living management.

She will be responsible for supporting executive staff and lead the company’s operating activities to drive performance.

Shaw joined LCS in 2018 as the senior vice president of operations for the rental division.

She was promoted in 2020 to Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Operations, overseeing the operations and sales for approximately 50 communities in 19 states.

Solera Senior Living promotes VP of Operations

Phil Lord is now the vice president of operations for Solera Senior Living following a recent promotion by the Denver, Colorado-based developer and owner-operator.

Lord joined Solera Senior Living as director of operations and successfully opened and supporting development of communities across the company’s portfolio, and also elevated Solera’s ancillary and culinary service model. Additionally, he launched an employee recruitment and onboarding department for the organization.

Vermont community adds new ED, Health Services Director

Margaret Pratt Community recently announced Gretchen Cole as its new executive director and Erin Schmidt as the new health services director.

Cole started at the community last July and has since focused on staff appreciation, education and improving resident quality of life and wellness. She has over 25 years of experience in long-term care and memory care settings.

Schmidt joined the community as health services director in October and brings nearly three decades of health care experience.

Arrow Senior Living appoints human resources VP, other promotions

Arrow Senior Living recently appointed Candace Johnson as vice president of human resources and announced promotions for Sophie Rich, Christie Masline and Matthew Enderle, serving communities in Arrow’s Illinois and Ohio markets.

Johnson recently joined Arrow’s home office team as vice president of human resources and associate general counsel.

Rich began her career with Arrow as a regional operations specialist. Rich has been promoted to executive director and will lead operations at Carriage Court Senior Living in Hilliard, Ohio.

Masline was promoted to Arrow’s regional operations team. Before transitioning into her new role, Masline served as the lead executive director of Vitalia Active Adult Community at North Olmsted in Ohio.

Enderle was named executive director at Cedar Trails Senior Living in Freeburg, Illinois. He previously served as senior living director at two communities in the Saint Louis, Missouri area.

Anthem Memory Care appoints regional director

Anthem Memory Care announced the appointment of Jamie Floyd as regional director of sales and marketing.

In the role, she is responsible for overall sales and marketing of 12 communities across five states.

Floyd previously served as vice president, sales, new developments, acquisitions and sales training for Atria Senior Living.

She also served as national sales specialist and regional sales manager with Atria and director of marketing and education for Odyssey Healthcare.

Sagewood welcomes health center staff

Sagewood, a life plan community in Phoenix, Arizona, recently announced the appointment of two new senior staff members for Acacia Health Center and Desert Willow Assisted Living.

Nicole Roenius is joining as therapy director and Melissa Alexander will fill the role of life enrichment director for Desert Willow and Acacia.

Roenius joins Sagewood after many years with Life Care Services community in Milwaukee.

Alexander brings over 25 years of experience in senior living programming and previously was an activity assistant for several years before pursuing an education.

Lument hires new Tennessee office lead

Commercial real estate firm Lument recently announced Justin Elshire as managing director to open its new office in Nashville, Tennessee.

He will be responsible for originating and structuring commercial mortgage loans for seniors housing and healthcare clients across the country, focusing primarily on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Federal Housing Administration (FHA), and U.S. Department of Agriculture loan programs.

Elshire brings over two decades of financial and commercial real estate experience to his new role.

Houston community adds health care administrator

The Buckingham, a senior living community in Houston, Texas, announced Cynthia Lamison as its new healthcare administrator.

As health administrator, she is tasked with ensuring safety, compliance and best care practices for AL, memory care and skilled nursing levels at the community.

JLL moves ahead with president of health care

JLL Healthcare recently announced Alison Flynn Gaffney as division president of health care to lead and evolve the organization’s health care business to meet needs of health systems, hospitals and ambulatory networks going forward.

Gaffney most recently served as the interim Chief Operating Officer with the University of Utah Health, Hospitals & Clinics.

Civitas Senior Living community adds ED

Elk Creek, an AL and memory care community in Burleson, Texas, managed by Civitas Senior Living recently welcomed Shelly Griffin as executive director.

She brings over 10 years of administrative, supervisory experience to the community.

Lorien Health Services names vice president

Lorien Health Services, a family-owned AL company, announced John Mangione Jr. as vice president.

In the new role, Mangione will oversee AL communities and home health services. Mangione started at the Columbia facility in 2009 and after working in various roles.

Foulk Living adds wellness coordinator

Wilmington, Delaware-based senior living community Foulk Living recently named Rose Arkhurst-Mensah as wellness navigator to help engage residents and improve the overall experience at the 9-acre community.

The new role was designed to enhance communication, encourage engagement, monitor well-being, and maximize resident and family satisfaction. Arkhurst-Mensah is a point-of-contact and source of assistance for the residents and their families if questions arise at the community.
