Discovery Senior Living makes board appointment
Dr. Jacquelyn Y. Kung has been named to Discovery Senior Living’s Board of Directors as an indpendent board member.
Kung previously served as the CEO of Activated Insights, a health technology software company that focused on resident, patient and employee engagement. Prior to her role with Activated Insights, Kung served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and advisor at WellSky, a cloud-based enterprise software company used by home health agencies.
Kung also has experience as a consultant at McKinsey & Co., where she engaged in more than 10 healthcare studies serving provider, manufacturer, supplier and investor growth needs. She also served as the Senior Director of Strategy at Erickson Retirement Communities.
Kung will work exclusively within the seniors housing industry with Discovery to support its ongoing growth.
Texas community hires memory care coordinator
Buda Oaks in Buda, Texas, a JCI Senior Housing-managed community, recently named Theresa Panzino as its new memory care coordinator.
She brings over two decades of experience in behavioral health, senior living and skilled nursing. Her primary focus will be to educate caregivers in memory care about behavioral interventions and crafting an engaging activity program for residents.
Springpoint hires new life plan assistant director
Springpoint recently announced Patricia Polchak as the new assistant executive director of the life plan community Meadow Lakes in East Windsor, New Jersey.
In her new role, Polchak handles daily operational functions within the life plan community’s healthcare center to ensure quality service and high quality care consistent with Springpoint’s vision and mission.
She brings nearly 30 years of experience as a liecensed nursing home administrator and she most recently served as healthcare administrator at The Pines at Whiting.
