ThriveWell Tech hires chief strategy and growth officer

Former LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST) Executive Director Majd Alwan recently joined ThriveWell Tech as the company’s chief strategy and growth officer.

He brings nearly two decades of health care, technology and research experience to the new role. While with LeadingAge, Alwan was responsible for leading a coalition of over 400 companies, aging services organizations, businesses, universities and government representatives in product development, prototype testing, technology evaluation, and technology-enabled care model deployment.

In his new role, Alwan will lead ThriveWell Tech into its new phase of growth by transforming the end-to-end experience for senior living organizations’ digital roadmap.

Grace Management announces promotion for vice president of operations

Maple Grove, Minnesota-based Grace Management announced Brian Storey as the company’s new vice president of operations in a newly-created role.

Storey joined Grace Management in February 2015 as an executive director of The Highlands senior living community in Topsham, Maine before serving as regional director of operations in 2017. In his new role, Storey directs and manages ancillary operations for Grace Management and supports capital projects.

He also works to organize, collect and present business intelligence data and works directly with ownership groups to lead data-driven decision making and analysis to achieve positive outcomes portfolio-wide.

Grace Management has 59 communities nationwide. 

Veteran Brookdale executive joins TapRoot

Juliet Holt Klinger, a veteran of Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD), recently joined TapRoot as executive vice president of strategy and growth.

Holt Klinger will support product innovation for TapRoot’s interactive caregiver platform Ella for caregivers and people with neurocognitive disorders.

Holt Klinger will develop and have oversight of growth, marketing and customer engagement as TapRoot builds its customer success program. She will also lead TapRoot’s customer-focused efforts, as well as play a key role in scaling the platform for better outcomes for people living with dementia.

Charter Senior Living fills leadership roles, support staff

Naperville, Illinois-based Charter Senior Living recently announced various leadership hires and support staff.

Janet Tiemeyer was named vice president of health and wellness, Thomas Hoge as director of facility operations, Ben Scott as regional director of operations and Jennifer Cayson as clinical specialist.

Tiemeyer brings nearly two decades of senior living experience to her new role, having most recently served as vice president of clinical integration and strategic accounts for EmpowerMe Wellness.

Hoge will oversee all life safety, emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, renovations and improvement projects for the company.

Scott joins Charter with over a decade of experience in turning around communities and CCRC operations.

The four additions to Charter are part of the company’s larger restructuring plan and the organization will continue adding to its regional support teams.

Charter operates 49 communities in 13 states.

Emerald Communities promotes vice president of operations

Nonprofit senior living organization Emerald Communities announced Michelle Wood was recently promoted to the vice president of operations.

The organization now has an entire women-led executive leadership team for the first time in the history of Emerald Communities.

Wood joined Redmond, Washington-based Emerald Communities since 2013 as corporate controller. In 2020, her role was widened to oversee accounting and information systems.

Anthem Memory Care appoints controller

Oswego, Oregon-based Anthem Memory Care recently named Jimmy He as controller.

He will now be responsible for financial reporting and control of company assets, previously serving as controller for Frontier Management and The Urban League. He brings 20 years of experience in accounting to the role with Anthem Memory Care.
