Cassia appoints CEO
Cassia announced Matthew Kern has been named as the company’s new president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.
Kern previously served as the company’s chief operating officer, having joined the executive team in 2017, and succeeds Bob Dahl, who is retiring.
“Matthew is a courageous and visionary leader who loves the Cassia mission of serving older adults in the Spirit of Christ’s love,” Dahl said in a press release. “He embodies our service standards that are built on our core values. I’m excited for the future of Cassia and am confident, with Matthew’s leadership, the organization will thrive for many years to come.”
Liberty Senior Living announces COO
Liberty Senior Living has named Robert Goyette as its chief operations officer.
In his new role, Goyette will focus on “building scalable systems and establishing operating standards across Liberty’s diverse portfolio,” according to a press release.
Goyette brings over 10 years of c-suite experience to the position, and has held nearly every senior living leadership role throughout his career, including sales director, executive director, regional director, divisional vice president and executive vice president, the release states.
2Life brings industry veteran on as chief of middle market innovation
2Life Communities announced Denise McQuaide has been named as its chief of middle market innovation.
In her role, McQuaide is “responsible for overseeing 2Life’s overarching strategy for extending its mission to middle market seniors,” according to a press release.
McQuaide brings more than 40 years of experience in healthcare, senior living operations and community health services industries. She previously served as president and chief operating officer for wellness management at Benchmark Senior Living.
WesleyLife appoints chief people officer
WesleyLife announced it has appointed Donna Boetger as its chief people and culture officer, effective Sept. 8.
She brings more than 20 years of experience to the position, and most recently as senior vice president and director of human resources at Life Care Services, according to a press release.
She has also served at Eyerly Ball Mental Health, Mail Services and Sunrise Retirement Community, the release states.
United Church Homes promotes senior executive director of integrated operations
United Church Homes has promoted Amy Kotterman to senior executive director of integrated operations.
In her role, Kotterman will “oversee multiple interdisciplinary service lines essential to the success of United Church Homes, including middle market housing, memory care program management and dining services,” according to a press release.
Kotterman has served United Church Homes for over 30 years. Most recently, she was director of customer experience, the release states.
K4Connect announces three new leaders
K4Connect, a senior living technology provider, has brought on three new members to its leadership team with Angela Urbaczewski, Todd Kemerly and Joe Velderman.
Urbaczewski has been named as the vice president of advocacy and growth. In her role, she will oversee partnerships with senior living providers, “ensuring seamless onboarding, exceptional support and ongoing engagement,” a press release states.
Kemerly has been named vice president of sales. He brings more than 30 years of experience to the position and has held leadership roles at Marriott Senior Living, Vi Senior Living, Carlton and Lutheran Life.
Velderman is K4Connect’s new chief strategy officer. In his role, he will drive “enterprise strategy and market development to advance the adoption of transformative technologies, including AI, in senior living communities,” the release states.
Lifespace Communities brings on VP of regional operations
Lifespace Communities has welcomed Jennifer Burton as its vice president of regional operations, effective July 28.
In her role, Burton will lead the nonprofit’s overall daily operations across its Texas region.
Burton brings decades of experience to the position and has held a variety of roles, including CEO, chief operating officer and and director of operations across senior living, post-acute and healthcare organizations, according to a press release.
