ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Lockwood Cos., a developer and manager of senior living communities, has opened Lockwood of Ann Arbor. With a focus on independent living, the community features 154 senior apartments, with 65 of these units designated as affordable housing.
The $47 million development is designed to provide high-quality, accessible living for seniors in Washtenaw County, addressing the growing need for seniors housing as the local population continues to age.
The facility is equipped with a range of amenities that cater to the needs and interests of its residents. These amenities include a commercial kitchen and dining area that offer three chef prepared meals daily; game room; arts and crafts room; barber shop/beauty salon; movie room; and fitness/wellness room.
Spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments with private patios or balconies are designed to offer comfort and convenience, allowing seniors to maintain their independence while enjoying a vibrant community life. Lockwood of Ann Arbor is also a pet-friendly community.
Headquartered in Southfield, Mich., Lockwood Cos.’s senior living portfolio includes eight independent living communities in Southeast Michigan, according to the company’s website.
