SHN: What drew you to the senior housing & senior living industry?

Stricker: I’ve always been close with my Grandma and my experience helping her find a Memory Care community was at the back of my mind when I applied for a job with Frontier Senior Living.

SHN: What’s your biggest leadership lesson learned since starting to serve this industry?

Stricker: Knowledge and wisdom flows in both directions. While it’s easy to implement from the top down, I’ve found it much more effective to frequently poll our teams, collecting open-ended feedback on just about everything. When team members feel free to ask questions and provide critiques, leadership is able to tailor more effective programs and processes that work for everyone.

SHN: If you could change one thing with an eye toward the future of the senior housing & senior living industry, what would it be?

Stricker: I would encourage the adoption of new technologies in a thoughtful way. Sometimes it feels like senior living is a decade behind other industries when it comes to technology.

SHN: In one word, how would you describe the future of senior housing & senior living?

Stricker: Growing.

SHN: If you had a crystal ball, what do you think will impact the senior housing & senior living industry now and into 2026?

Stricker: The demographic shift is already underway and the numbers don’t lie. We’re going to see a strong and steady increase in the need for senior housing well into 2026 and beyond.

SHN: In your opinion, what qualities must all Future Leaders possess?

Stricker: Creativity, optimism, and a learning mindset.

SHN: If you could give advice to yourself looking back to your first day in the senior housing & senior living industry, what would it be and why?

Stricker: My advice would be to learn as much as you possibly can from your leadership, coworkers, and partners. Stay curious, ask lots of questions, and shout out your wins.
