[Sponsored] New Seattle-Area Campus to Deliver Assisted Living and Memory Care in 2022

The word “Bellevue” in French means “beautiful view.” And in Bellevue,
Washington, with sweeping vistas of Lake Washington to the west and the Cascade
mountains to the east, it’s easy to understand why.

Bellevue’s beautiful view is just one of the reasons why Koelsch
Communities is taking up residence there.

Koelsch, a national leader in the Senior Living space, is on schedule to
open a booming new campus in the spring of 2022. Featuring two levels of care,
the community will be 142,000 square feet. The campus, Belle Harbour, will
occupy 2.89 acres of land and offer two distinct communities connected by sky
bridges: one assisted living, one memory care.

“This is a real crown jewel for the city of Bellevue,” says Aaron
Koelsch, President and CEO of Koelsch Communities. “It is unique and comes from
our family with over 60 years of experience.”

The $94 million project at 2110 116th Avenue NE in Bellevue will provide
a combined 149 senior living suites: 71 suites in assisted living, plus 78
residents in memory care. Leaning into Koelsch’s 30
years of dedication to Memory Care, The Inn at Belle Harbour — the
campus’s distinctive memory care community — will provide residents a nostalgic experience, returning to days gone by.
That can mean ice cream and soda treats at the ice cream shoppe Sophie’s Scoops
on Main Street, or a visit to Emmett’s Garage and its namesake classic cars on
display.

These residents can also relax to the calming sounds of a water feature
and fresh air in the Outdoor Urban Oasis. The dignified dining experiences and
purpose-built environment paired with specialized and personalized care will
provide a sense of relief for those living with dementia and other forms of
memory loss.

“Everything we do at Koelsch is personal,” Koelsch says. “We care
about the details.”

Residents at the distinctive assisted living community ,The Park at
Belle Harbour, are greeted by nautical themes in every room, bringing to life
Bellevue’s maritime past. This luxurious community will be rich with activity.
Residents have multiple dining experiences to choose from each day, including
meeting friends for a before-dinner beverage in the Victory Bistro or
delighting their taste buds with a five-star meal at the Monticello.

They can then opt-in for dessert on the Cascade Veranda while sitting
beside a loved one, as both people warm their toes in front of the outdoor
fireplace.

These personalized touches have become the Koelsch Communities calling
card. The third generation, family-owned and -operated Koelsch comprises 35
communities in eight states, with six new communities in development for
independent living, assisted living and memory care. For Aaron Koelsch, Belle
Harbour is a continuation of his parents’ legacy, which he first experienced as
a boy when the family moved into the basement of the first Koelsch Community in
1958.

“I grew up living a life dedicated to serving others, and our
communities are known for first class service and care,” Koelsch says. “We
treat every person with dignity and respect, and we are intentional with every
decision we make. We believe in the innovative programs that make aging well
possible, and building a strong foundation of safety with the latest in
security technology.

The project will be managed by Koelsch Communities and developed by
Koelsch in partnership with RJ Development. Koelsch Construction will also act
as the project’s general contractor in partnership with Shearer Construction.
Interior design by principal owner and designer Judy Koelsch of JSK Design.

Beyond caring for the senior community in Bellevue, these Koelsch
Communities will provide employment opportunities with benefits to local
caregivers pursuing the next step in their careers.

“Koelsch Communities has led the senior living industry for over 60
years,” Koelsch says. “We are delivering world-class customer service, home
craftsmanship, and unprecedented amenities.”
