Lifespace brings on VP of philanthropy

Lifespace Communities announced Lacey LaPointe has been appointed as its vice president of philanthropy.

In her role, LaPointe “oversees all fundraising efforts through the Lifespace Foundation, focusing on cultivating donor relationships, growing planned giving initiatives and supporting projects that enhance resident life across our communities,” a news release states.

LaPointe brings more than 20 years of fundraising experience to the role. Before going to Lifespace Communities, she served as senior vice president of development at Charity: water, where she oversaw $68M in operational and program funding.

She has also “led successful capital campaigns and donor engagement strategies at organizations including University of North Texas Health Science Center, Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, the Dallas Zoo and the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas,” the release states.

Savant Senior Living welcomes regional director

Savant Senior Living has welcomed Joyce Aquino as its new regional director of operations.

In a LinkedIn post, Aquino said she chose Savant “because of its mission to serve those often overlooked and in greatest need of care.”

Aquino brings over a decade of experience to the position. Most recently, she served as a regional operations specialist for Oakmont Senior Living, and she has also worked for The Variel of Woodland Hills and Atria Senior Living.

New residential living director joins Heritage Pointe of Warren

Senior living community Heritage Pointe of Warren announced Olivia Baker has joined as its new residential living director.

In her role, Baker will focus on “enhancing all dimensions of wellness, including intellectual, physical, social, spiritual and health services,” according to a news release.

She also collaborates closely with residents and their families to find their interests and needs to ensure they feel welcomed in their new home, the release states.
