A Place for Mom welcomes leadership member

A Place for Mom welcomed Michelle Deitchman as its chief people officer, effective Oct. 28.

At her new role, Deitchman is “leading people strategy and employee experience at a pivotal time for the company,” a press release states, with a focus on scaling the company’s culture.

She brings over 25 years of experience to the position. Before joining A Place for Mom, Deitchman served as senior vice president and head of human resources at The Hartford, the release states. While there, she led “enterprise-wide initiatives across property and casualty, risk services, strategy and innovation.”

Kendal brings on senior director

The Kendal Corporation welcomed Morgan Lamphere as its senior director of communications, marketing and sales effective Nov. 1.

In her role, Lamphere will “lead system-wide marketing initiatives and provide crucial support to individual Affiliate marketing, sales and communications teams,” according to a press release. She will report directly to Kendal CEO Vassar Byrd.

Lamphere brings over 20 years of experience to the position in strategic sales leadership and integrated marketing within the senior living sector, according to the release.

“Morgan’s addition represents a critical investment in the Kendal System’s integrated communications, marketing and sales infrastructure, highlighting our commitment to providing enhanced and expanded expertise and services to every single Kendal Affiliate,” Byrd said in the release.

Wold Architects & Engineers announces healthcare leader

Wold Architects & Engineers, a planning, architecture and engineering firm specializing in education, government, healthcare and senior living, announced Chris Powers has joined its team as a healthcare practice leader.

He will also lead business development efforts to expand the firm’s healthcare presence across the Tennessee region, according to a press release.

Powers brings over 30 years of experience to the position, 14 of which were spent as a healthcare owner and owner’s representative, the release states.

Anthem Memory Care appoints executive director

Anthem Memory Care appointed Emily Potempa as the executive director for its Emerald Place community in Glenview, Illinois.

In her role, Potempa will oversee all care, operations and programming, according to a press release.

Potempa brings 14 years of experience to the position, and previously served as the executive director of Anthem’s Churchill Place in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She has also served as executive director with Encore Memory Care in Bolingbrook, Illinois, the release states.
