United Properties celebrate active adult opening in Minnesota

United Properties announced that Amira Lake Elmo, a new active adult rental community, received a certificate of occupancy and is now welcoming residents.

The new community is managed by Great Lakes Management and the property is located in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, offering landscaped grounds with a range of amenities for residents.

Units range from alcove studios to three-bedroom layouts with premium finishes and spaces that emphasize the use of natural light to create welcoming environments for residents. United Properties worked with LSE Architects for design, Eagle Building Company for construction and Associated Bank for financing. 

This project marks the fourth active adult community for United Properties, with leaders speaking to SHN earlier this year.

Senior Lifestyle completes renovation project in Colorado

Senior Lifestyle announced the completion of a $3.7 million renovation for Liberty Heights, a senior living community in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The project includes updates to the dining room, resident corridors and shared spaces. Additional improvements include new lighting, flooring and finishes.

The renovation was completed following a partnership with Blackcomb Construction Group.

Liberty Heights includes 234 residences and serves approximately 278 residents. Units include apartments and patio homes with amenities including housekeeping, on-call maintenance services, an outdoor pool, fitness center, on-site therapy, salon and barbershop. Other amenities include a bocce ball court, along with spaces for art, gardening and events.

EGRE completes second conversion for 55+ community

Adaptive reuse and renewal company EGRE recently announced units are now available to be leased following a conversion project of a senior living complex in Fort Worth, Texas, according to a news release.

This marks the second conversion project from EGRE completed this year, with the first coming in Birmingham, Alabama.

The community includes 140 affordable senior living units offering affordable housing for older adults in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for adults 55 and up.
