LifeCare Properties plans Texas community

LIfeCare Properties announced plans for a new senior living community in College Station, Texas. The Blake of College Station will include 117 assisted living and memory care units.

The 100,000 square foot community will be managed by the Blake Management Group and features modern architecture with upgraded amenities.

Oppidan breaks ground on next community

The Oppidan Investment Company broke ground on a new independent living community adjacent to an assisted living property in Hermantown, Minnesota, according to a news release.

Fox Ridge at The Pillars will be a new senior townhome development and will be located next to The Pillars of Hermantown, a senior living community also developed by Oppidan.

The project will include 20, age-restricted cottages with two-bedroom, two-bathroom layouts with approximately 2,000 square feet of main floor living space with an attached two car garage.

Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2026.

LCS starts construction on ‘major expansion’ 

Greenwood Village South, a life plan community in Greenwood, Indiana, has officially broken ground on a major expansion project, according to a news release.

The expansion will include 42 new independent living hybrid apartments known as The Village Flats with 27,000 square-feet of common area and amenity spaces to improve resident wellness and engagement.

RDG Planning & Design will serve as the project’s interior designer for the project developed by LCS Development.

New amenities will include a natatorium, bistro and coffee shop, library, fitness center, 275-seat auditorium, classroom space and multiple gathering areas. The design also includes a new front entrance and administrative suites to support future operational growth.

Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2027.

LCS Development also held a ground breaking ceremony in Kalamazoo, Michigan for a new 76-unit independent living development designed in two neighborhood areas. The renovation will also include an update the community center with new dining venues, lounge, community center,

Cedarhurst nears completion in Indiana

Cedarhurst Senior Living is nearing the end of construction at Cedarhurst of Crown Point, an assisted living and memory care community in Crown Point, Indiana.

The two-story, 72,000 square-foot community is on pace to welcome residents in January. The development includes 59 assisted living and 24 memory care units.

Amenities include inset carpets, accessible cabinets and accessible countertop space for residents with mobility concerns. Shared amenities include a yoga studio and wellness programs for residents.
