FellowshipLife has launched a management services platform to help other nonprofit senior living organizations navigate operations, planning and staffing dynamics.
Currently operating in five communities, FellowshipLife in recent years built a hospitality-led operating model, adding in-home services and expanding wellness amenities accessible to the general public.
With the launch of FellowshipLife Management Services, the organization will leverage its expertise in strategic planning, operations and hospitality to help standalone senior living organizations and their ownership groups modernize communities, President and CEO Brian Lawrence said.
“Rather than keeping our expertise to ourselves—from a mission or vision perspective—now we want to make it available as a trusted management and consulting partner to like-minded organizations that want to remain mission-driven but need the additional support to help them thrive and adapt for the future,” Lawrence told Senior Housing News.
While the platform could lead to future affiliations with other nonprofit life plan communities, Lawrence said each partnership might look a little different, as some organizations may not seek full affiliation but instead request certain management services.
The new management platform is not limited to any geographic area, and Lawrence noted that the organization will seek partners “across the continental U.S.”
Looking back, Lawrence said FellowshipLife’s expertise in hospitality and lifestyle wellness, combined with the organization’s growing clinical services platform, has helped shape the company’s current form.
“We’ve built a very strong corporate team, and the need for our expertise is clear,” Lawrence said. “We’re here to support like-minded nonprofit life plan communities across the country, inviting them to join our family through affiliation or to partner with us for managed services as part of this growing network.”
Alongside the growth of the management platform, FellowshipLife is scaling its home care, hospice and therapy divisions and expanding access to the company’s physicians through Fellowship Medical Group, which offers primary health care to residents and the general public.
Looking ahead, FellowshipLife plans two independent living expansions, and the company will work to further address staffing challenges, Lawrence said.
“It’s really exciting news for that growth and spreading our wings—serving people not just within our communities but in the greater areas as well,” Lawrence said.
